Question 1: mid 70's is perfect. Not hotter then 80 degrees. Below 70 degrees slows down growth.

Question 2: Neither. Miracle grow has chelated nutes in it already that you can't control- slow release stuff is not good for pot. Too much N for too long. Bark is too acidic to use at all. Go find some Pro-Mix or Sunshine mix at any garden store.
