mu suggestion would be to set up mothers and clones in the slopped ceiling portion using t5 flourescent lights and then take your clones directly from rooting to flower in the big section with a 1000watt light. soil or hydro is up to you . i prefer soil for that organic taste . you may prefer hydro for faster growth.

Thanks. I was hoping for a little more feedback, but if I'm only going to get one reply, I'm glad it was one as helpful as yours.
That's pretty much the way I was leaning, and you've basically validated my gut feeling that that's the way to go. 1000 watts is sufficient for 20 square feet of flowering space? I was thinking more along the lines of 2 600's, but I've got a lot to learn about lighting so maybe that's a little too much.
