Other than that, the only answer to this question "why" is campaign speeches. Since Obama doesnt have much of a voting record or a relevent history, all you have is his speeches. Who can tell me what every president does with the promises they make to get your vote?

Yes, we are not all gifted with 120+ IQs, But you can bet your ass Obama is. The editor of the Harvard Law Review for Christs sake. This man is more qualified to be president than the last 6 presidents, especially the last one. Being able to think and make decisions based on logic, not think tank persuasion makes him the most intellectual president in quite a while. I agree, we have to wait and see, but I feel pretty confident he will make a lot of correct decisions. We'll begin to see when he starts announcing his cabinet. He already made one good choice, Joe Biden.
