Hello All! This is my first grow journal, and my 2nd overall grow. My first time was a set-up quite similar to this, but I only had a veg closet and I never ended up flowering the 3ft tall plants I had because of time constraints.
A little about my setup:
Dimensions (approx.) - 5(L)x2(W)x8(H) =
80 cu. ft.
The pictures will explain all, really. At the moment I have my veg closet pretty much 100% set-up. The only thing I will be changing is closing off the exhaust system to the room and moving the exhaust fan to a hanging position (no vibration) in the attic, once I actually have to use it - because right now it's winter and the temps won't be going over 80F in the closet.
For the veg closet I have 144w of T5 HO fluoros. 3x24w red spectrum bulbs and 3x24w blue spectrum bulbs. These babies are SUPER cool. I can pretty much keep my hand on them and I won't get burned. I have a 5 Gallon res of water, which I just use a 5 gallon jug that we get sent to the house (regular purified drinking water). I have a 245 gph (I believe) pump that pumps the water into a 2x4 table that I modified to include 2 drainage holes on each side. Right now I'm using 1/4 strength Botanicare PureBlend Pro
Grow on my seedlings, which are about 10 days old or so. My exhaust is a cheap 256cfm booster (160 stand-alone) in-line duct fan...but I'm not using that until summer-ish - but it is hooked up in case I need it - it vents directly through the attic and out the top of the roof. I have an oscilating fan in the room, and a passive
light-trap intake I made out of cardboard. Behind the closet door I have black poly that I basically made as a 2nd door, with 1 flap for the res and another to access the lights/plants. This set-up is about 98% stealth. I'm pretty sure that no light is getting in, but a very tiny bit of light is getting out - you can tell when it is pitch black in the room and u stare right at the closet. Otherwise, its virtually silent, and a great set-up so far.

I will have updated pics and posts, and when I start setting up my flower room (with 400w hps with carbon filter and aircooled hood [pulling air will be a 400+ cfm inline fan in attic]) I'll have pics as well. I plan on having a perpetual grow once I flower these Nirvana strains (I'm just using these strains because I have plenty of them and I wanna get an idea of how the system works before I start using the good genetics - of which I only have 1 seed of each strain
