I use Canna Aqua, i don't really know what you are asking?
My seedlings are 2 weeks old and i just started them off on 400ppm + tap water ppm, they are doing fine. I'd say 500ppm would be just fine.
I dont understand what you're saying, " The suggested feeding schedule starts the ppm at I believe 500 or somewhere around that and doesnt reach much above 1000."
Al B starts his 2 week clones off at 1400 ppm (Canna nutrients).
