Default Would germinating old seeds work better in hot or boiling water?
Just wondering...trying to germinate some OLD (4+ years) seeds which arent showing any sign of life in 2 days - would hot or boiling water help soften the shell casing so a tap root may come through easier?

ALSO - My tiny plants which were 6 inches at 5 weeks are now 18 and 16 inches at 9 weeks from seed - YAY!!! They've been flowering for 2 weeks and...er, don't think theres really any signs of buds yet - bloody slow buggers, got 10 flowers on each plant though so I'll see what they look like in another couple weeks! I admit I've got comparitively little light...3 cfls, but the plants like them, so...I may get another one or 2 if theres not much improvement in a couple more weeks!
