right now im using 2 1000HPS lights on a 4x8 table with 32 plants (the entire room is about 10x12). eventually im going to have 4 1000HPS with the same amount of plants. so yes it definitely is possible, but like they say it all depends on how hot your room gets. mine is very well ventillated and ACed so its all good.
