clear/blue white for vegg and red for 12/12 or both.
t5s flos are best but any will do for vegg, and just get more for 12/12. or try to sort a better light later on while you are vegging.
yes kitchen strip lights will do it, or them twisty light bulbs.
like i said check out the clf section on this site, they are lots of people here growing with flos.
