I just moved to Jack's and so far I'm very pleased. I sent my water to them for testing and plan to continue to use their lab services as needed.
Jacks 321 with calnit? Anything else? I love maxibloom but also wanted to try jacks. I'm on well water now and doesn't have hardly any calnit in it.

My two cents on the confusion. Was there were three products in the Maxi line now there is only two. There was a close out on the third product.

Yes Mg. This is my first week so the jury is still out but the plants don't seem to have noticed and are doing fine.

It's just the one-part aspect of it that I will miss
I get that. I just compare it to the hassle and cost of liquid nutes, or I look at the organic gang with their 6 month teas made of himalayan frog testicles and unicorn bonemeal, and I don't mind at all. ;)

Plus with Jack's you can mess with the ratios a bit, so you can be more responsive to your plants if they are fussy.

Oh yea I got 234$ last time I guess I got lucky its about 250$ now. I dont mind supporting local though and picking one out personally and carefully bringing home.

So I saved $150 last time. Ought to look for that price when running low I could of sworn I got it for that. I run through like 45 gal every few days so being one part is convenient being lazy.

Goes fast though, Idk what jacks would run for the equivelant. I hate to support GH but damn that one parts awesome.
Jacks is not going to come close to Maxi in performance, ease of use, consistency or end quality. I ran their RO and 3 part for 6 months and it wasn't good. Also it stinks really bad like pool chemicals.

If you like to play with ratios then just buy raw materials and mix your own solutions from scratch. Also it's not for small scale growers they are more geared towards greenhouses and large facilities. Jack's was the first company I had to actually contact support for help of any other brand. That isn't a good thing. If you run the 321 or RO formulation your leaves will look like green crocodiles at their recommended rates and I was running RO/DI water.

Everyone should be going by ppm N, P, K, etc. The label/brand doesnt mean shit. on the other hand No one shouild be going by the EC recomendations or "feed schedule" the company gives you. With Jacks "schedule" thats 200ppm N, which is what caused your crocodile leaves not because the label says Jacks on it. Try RO or 3-2-1 at EC 1 instead of EC2 like their schedule, that will be very close to old 6/9Head formula.
The maxibloom discontinued story comes around every 10 yrs for some reason, if it ever becomes a reality it can be diy'ed easily.

Epsom is the 1 in 321. Add the calnit last.

3 grams part A,
2 grams calnit,
1 gram epsom/magnesium sulfate.

Some calcium is one thing, but I don't want nitrates in my well water!

Thank you! Like I stated my well water is void of pretty much everything other than sulfur I suppose. I say that because two different tds meters say the same thing...40ppm but it's coming out @ 4.9ph. Even after mixing in 1tsp of maxibloom it's only a 5. What's the best economical way to bring this up? I was thinking of potassium hydroxide.

wait till you look at the differences between ppm in solution and ummol/L concentration of the ions

I'm running the RO on some testers at the moment. I'd be curious to pick your brain regarding what you did not like about the RO.

I don't know about those other examples you mention, but this is not a "story". At least not in the shops in my area. It's gone... I ain't sh*ttin' ya man. Believe me, I wish I was. I want to buy some. That's why I posted here. In the US, it still seems to be available everywhere or in most places, but in Canada and in parts of Europe, it's gone from the shelves. I can't even order it on Canadian Amazon anymore, except from a few limited sources that are almost out of stock and have jacked their prices up to truly comical levels. Some online shops are also carrying the big buckets still, but I'm assuming that they will eventually go too once the stock is gone. GH also discontinued their CocoTek, which I thought had a really nice and clean bloom formula that also worked great in Promix.

But whatever... there are plenty of other companies who will be happy to take my money.
